For the past few weeks, I’ve been telling you about my new website and accompanying podcast & blog The Quarter Life Comeback: a place that empowers Quarter Lifers to become the hero of their journey from 25 to life. Well, the wait is over. Here’s what to expect from the new site.

It’s funny how things evolve.

When I started blogging almost two years ago, all I wanted to do was share some unconventional health advice I’d discovered and had success with myself so that I didn’t have to re-explain it to every friend and family member who asked me why I was doing what I was doing.

And yet here I am today on somewhat of a different path altogether. To be honest, though, I could see this site coming. Each week, as I did more and more reading and writing articles, I began to notice how my interests were shifting.

I was no longer as into the specifics behind why certain fitness or dietary protocols worked as I was behind what made people stick to them or not. I came across other topics I’d never really considered before, such as mindset, habits, meditation and simplifying as much as possible.

I guess you could say I became more interested in helping people live better lives, rather than simply lose weight or get strong.

And that’s okay.

PURPOSE AND MISSIONS

One of the things I remember from when I was learning the ins and outs of blogging was from Scott Dinsmore who mentioned that blogging is one of the best ways to figure out what you’re passionate about and start making a living from it. You start writing and over time, the things you write about start to change.

This also ties in to an explanation I recently heard on discovering our purpose – one of the biggest questions we hear thrown around today.

While there are a whole host of opinions on what ‘purpose’ even means, this particular version stated that we all have the same one purpose: to be happy (which we do by living at our highest potential moment to moment).

Within that are several different missions which we take on at various stages of our lives which all serve towards that greater purpose. For example, you might pursue one direction for a few years, before switching things up to go after something new.

Again, this is okay.

I guess that’s what’s happening here. While my mission before this was to help people become healthier, I feel like I’ve shifted to a new mission of helping Quarter Lifers really thrive as they begin this journey into the rest of their lives.

And therein lies the reason behind starting this blog and podcast.

WHY THE QUARTER LIFE COMEBACK

Whereas before I was trying to help everyone with everything, I now feel super zen focused on directing all my efforts towards this group of people. Because while navigating my own quarter life crisis (a work in progress!), I realized there’s really no solid resource for Quarter Lifers like you and me equipping us for the journey ahead. Sure, there are tons of blogs listing 5 Reasons You Should Dump Him or whatever else attracts clicks, but what I’m after is something more than that.

At this important stage of our lives, we’re caught in the middle of childhood dreams and adult expectations. We’re put under so much pressure to have everything figured out yesterday, like what job we’re going to get, where we’re going to live, how we’re going to save for retirement and who we’re going to marry.

But maybe what’s needed instead is some time to discover what we really want. Stuck in a job you can’t handle? Spending your weekends doing things you don’t really want to do? Or maybe you’re surrounded with friends who don’t seem to have the same big dreams as you do? No one is forcing us to do these things. It really does come down to a choice.

That’s what The Quarter Life Comeback is all about. It’s about empowering you to get clear on what you want from your life, identify & overcome the obstacles standing in the way and become the hero of your journey into life.

If that sounds a little woo-woo to you, it simply means to take ownership of the years ahead. Because if we’re honest with ourselves, the future we get is a direct result of the choices we make, starting right now.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As mentioned above, The Quarter Life Comeback is a place that empowers you to create the life you want, whatever your current situation may look like.

In order to do so, I’m going to be interviewing various guests every week on The Quarter Life Comeback Podcast, including quarter life experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, success stories and other inspiring people who have conquered their own quarter life crises. Essentially, it’s like meeting with a mentor through your earphones.

In addition to the podcast, I’ll occasionally be writing articles to further help you implement everything we discuss. I have lots of other projects lined up for the future, but my theme for the year is focusing on one thing at a time. As I said, this is going to be the resource for quarter lifers.

P.S. I also covered what to expect in the first episode of the podcast which you can listen to here.
